District Defend Product Manager The Opportunity: Lead the strategy, vision, and execution of Booz Allen’s District Defend product. District Defend is a software-based zero‑trust security platform, scaled across the Federal Government space that proactively protects organizational data, devices, and networks through dynamic, automated safeguards tailored to enterprise security rules.
It continuously validates device trust, adapts to changing threat environments, and enables secure remote or classified work by enforcing strict access controls and mitigating risks such as insider threats and advanced endpoint attacks. The ideal candidate blends product expertise, technical fluency, and strong leadership to guide a cross-functional team in delivering a high-value, user-centered solution.
They apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. This individual excels in Agile environments and is comfortable operating across ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving customer needs.
You Have: Experience working with Agile teams in Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies Experience with backlog and requirements management Knowledge of modern software development practices and cloud technologies Ability to write clear and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, and prioritize backlogs and facility effective backlog refinement Ability to understand system architecture, APIs and technical constraints, translate complex technical details into stakeholder-friendly language, and understand implications of technical choices Ability to turn customer insights and analytics into actionable product roadmaps Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business and 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Agile software development roles, or 12+ years of experience in Product Management or Agile software development roles in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: Experience with the federal government, including defense or regulated environments Experience with DevSecOps practices and modern CI/CD pipelines Possession of excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills CSPO, SAFe PM/PO, or equivalent certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
