Implementation Managers play a critical role in onboarding new clients, ensuring their prescription benefits are active on day one. They also assist with offboarding clients, adding new lines of business and implementing plan changes. Given the complexities of today’s PBM landscape, setting up a new client involves managing financial, product, and operational components across CVS Caremark.
Implementation Managers coordinate with 20+ functional areas to track progress and ensure seamless execution. Position Summary As an Implementation Operations Manager, you own every aspect of the project, ensuring success by owning projects end‑to‑end, from planning and execution through completion.
This role demands proactive risk management, seamless collaboration with stakeholders, and a relentless focus on delivering high-quality, predictable results. Curiosity, tenacity and ability to leverage background experience quickly will be key as you work independently.
The Implementation Operations Manager partners closely with internal stakeholders to drive milestones, proactively manage risks, and deliver high‑quality, predictable outcomes. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams to gather and refine requirements, validate findings, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
The Sr Analyst, Implementation Operations Manager contributes to the development and maintenance of standardized processes, templates, and documentation that promote consistency, repeatability, and smooth handoffs across teams. This role also supports continuous improvement efforts by evaluating current operating practices using data‑driven methods such as process mapping, root cause analysis, stakeholder feedback, and performance metrics.
There may be opportunities to design and implement process improvements, lead targeted initiatives, pilot new approaches, and contribute to scalable best practices across the organization. Beyond your own development, you’ll play a pivotal role as a mentor—guiding and developing new Implementation Managers on the team, sharing your knowledge, and fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their unique needs, requirements, and expectations for a successful project implementation.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, defining tasks, timelines, and key milestones while collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
- Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, resolve issues efficiently, and provide consistent project status updates to stakeholders.
- Design and implement improved processes.
- Standardize processes and documentation to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Required Qualifications: 5 + years of project management experience 5 + years of Microsoft Office tools experience Future travel to client meetings or onsite training may be required – 10-25% depending on specific role
Preferred Qualifications
- PBM or Health Plan experience Client implementation experience Demonstrated use of Project Management tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication Education : Bachelor's degree preferred; may consider comparable work experience.
- Candidates required to work in Hybrid Model and expected to go onsite for onboarding and team meetings.
- Preference for candidates to reside in HUB locations, Scottsdale, AZ – Irving, TX – Northbrook, IL.
- Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $60,300.00 - $132,600.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
- The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
- This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
