How you will create an impact This exciting new role will focus on the growth and development of a new specialised portfolio for our Schemes & Facilities business, continuing our focus on delivering bespoke products to market, providing solutions for our clients and enhancing the profitability of the AIG Casualty portfolio.

This role has two key parameters, maintenance, and growth of the existing Scheme & Facilities portfolio, as well as development of new and exciting ways to deliver our products to market. This role is critical to our growth strategy and is responsible for driving the underwriting quality, direction and growth within this segment through executing on our well-developed strategy.

You will be responsible for the ongoing management of our Schemes & Facilities portfolio, development of new business opportunities, development, and maintenance of senior executive relationships with brokers in this segment, whilst ensuring underwriting quality, and profitable outcomes for the portfolio.

This role will involve active engagement with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring that the AIG go-to-market strategy is highly collaborative and focused on positive client and broker solutions. This role will also be imperative in developing additional go-to-market capabilities through broker platform connectivity & integration with AIG systems allowing enhanced client access to AIG products.

You will be joining a team of highly experienced and well-respected underwriting personnel who consistently delivers on our budgeted KPI’s, executes compelling go-to-market messaging, and fosters positive broker relationships. Key accountabilities will include but not limited to: Management of AIG Casualty Schemes & Facilities portfolio incorporating both broker binder arrangements and the standalone casualty product for SME via AIG GO.

Responding to referrals from brokers which fall outside of pre-agreed parameters Review and renewal of schemes and facilities parameters though negotiation with broker partners Maintenance & development of key broker relationships Development & execution of Pipeline initiatives Development of New Business opportunities within the Schemes and Facilities portfolio Ensuring compliance with AIG Business Rules & Guidelines Internal collaboration with AIG colleagues across the business Development and presentation of compelling go-to-market collateral, capabilities, and goals of the Schemes and Facilities portfolio Collaboration with AIG project delivery team to develop platforms and systems for integration with broker platforms including start-up and delivery of standalone Casualty product for SME clients.

Collaborating with AIG Casualty Underwriting Office team to deliver new products to market. Reporting and progress of underwriting performance indicators to Head of Casualty, Australia Development and delivery of underwriting profitability and performance goals Reviewing and responding to referrals within set parameters, and in line with strategic direction of the department Actively and consistently engaging with external brokers to ensure visibility Attending client meetings to foster positive business relationships with AIG clients Ensuring all administrative and financial tasks are completed within the required timeframes Ad hoc requests from Head of Casualty as required What you’ll need to succeed Strong underwriting or broking experience, ideally in a senior portfolio role focused on SME in which you demonstrated the key skillsets outlined in the key responsibilities above A high degree of business and financial acumen A high level of Casualty product understanding and Australian market experience A proven ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
