About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Representative In this role, you will: Support performance of less experienced staff and overall effectiveness of team Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools within Commercial Loan Closing Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements Perform complex legal activities for loan documentation that may also include documentation purchased from a third party source, internal staff and the Corporate Legal Group Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals Work collaboratively with Credit, Sales and Legal regarding proper procedures and documentation requirements necessary to ensure accuracy with negotiated terms and ensure alignment with appropriate compliance standards Interact with immediate team and Commercial Loan Closing Interact with internal customers Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Commercial Loan Closing support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Essential Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Flood Operations, Commercial Loan Servicing, or Hazard Insurance.
Strong knowledge of Flood Monitoring and related processing activities. Understanding of flood insurance compliance requirements and loan servicing processes. Willingness to work in rotational and night shifts based on business requirements.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet established service levels. Proficiency in researching, analyzing, and resolving operational exceptions. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
Monitor and maintain compliance with flood insurance requirements throughout the life of the loan. Review loan files and system records to ensure accurate flood zone determinations and documentation. Track and update flood insurance coverage, including renewals and lapses, to meet regulatory standards.
Meet goals related to SLA performance targets, Productivity targets & Quality scores, based on established targets for each area. Support internal and external customers with inquiries and complaints regarding loan servicing needs Support and enable execution of transformation efforts Effectively implement change while minimizing disruptions and negative impacts to SLA.
Support reduction of outstanding regulatory deliverables by executing against milestones and continue to strengthen risk and control infrastructure. Monitor collateral and preparing payoff letters, releasing collateral Receive direction from supervisors, and escalate non-routine customer concerns to experienced individuals Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools within Commercial Loan Closing Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals Knowledge and understanding of the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) Ability to review and interpret complex commercial loan documents Knowledge and understanding of flood insurance policy requirements, contents value and appraisals Knowledge and understanding of Private flood insurance policies Knowledge and understanding of National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) insurance policies Knowledge and understanding of loan documentation Knowledge and understanding of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) The Commercial Flood Risk Associate position will support the Commercial Real Estate group and will be responsible for the due diligence required for FDPA compliance on all transactions.
The Flood team is key to ensuring Wells Fargo is fully assessing risk by assisting in a variety of flood compliance processing activities for commercial, commercial real estate and/or problem loans. Some responsibilities include: assisting in the ongoing Life of Loan Monitoring of Flood activities, performing customer, loan and regulatory diligence; on-going portfolio maintenance; accurately evaluating and uploading data into the banks systems of record; ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; manage an assigned portfolio of loans.
Seeks guidance from QC/Authorization leaders or other SMEs regarding loan level scenarios related to policy and procedure interpretation to ensure compliance. Proactively escalates issues and takes ownership of resolution path. Engages with the LOB partners, Asset Managers, Flood vendors, stakeholders to drive completion and resolution of file analysis.
