Azure Key Vault team provides key and secrets management for customers and is at the heart of security for Microsoft and its customers. It provides secrets and key management at scale for Azure and M365 customers enabling customers to protect their data in rest and in transit.We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team.

Responsibilities Design, build, and scale backend services and data pipelines that power device and security intelligence Contribute to the development of high-quality, durable data foundations used across Microsoft Security Bring together fragmented device and security signals from multiple systems into a consistent, reliable view Define and implement data models, pipelines, and system contracts across large-scale distributed systems Contribute to architectural decisions and tradeoffs that balance correctness, scalability, latency, and complexity Own or contribute to key platform components, supporting design, delivery, and operational excellence Embody our culture and values Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript
- Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript
- Python OR equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience building and shipping backend services or data platforms #MSFTSecurity #IDNAjobs Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year.
- There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area
- the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
