The strategy targets category-defining companies operating in large addressable markets with significant long-term compounding potential. The MSGI strategy sits under the broader Private Credit & Equity (PC&E) platform with over 300 professionals globally managing approximately $62Bn of client capital across direct private equity and private-credit strategies.
Recent MSGI strategy investments include scaled private technology companies across frontier AI research and foundational models, unified data and AI analytics, next-generation defense technology, and modern financial software. The strategy has meaningful capital available for new investments, positioning the team to be highly active across late-stage growth equity opportunities.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management is seeking a Vice President to join Morgan Stanley Growth & Innovation. The Vice President will work directly with senior investors and play a central role across the full investment lifecycle, with a particular focus on deal execution, underwriting, and diligence.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an investor who can serve as the day-to-day lead on live transactions, manage complex diligence workstreams, build conviction around investment opportunities, and help translate analysis into clear investment recommendations.
The role will also involve company relationship-building, thematic research, portfolio company support, and broader strategy development for a growing investment platform
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution of new late-stage growth equity investments, including opportunity evaluation, diligence, underwriting, structuring, Investment Committee approval
- closing in partnership with senior investors.
- Own the investment recommendation, including key diligence findings, valuation framework, competitive positioning, risk / reward assessment, downside case, return scenarios, and exit path.
- Manage internal and external deal workstreams, including direct engagement with management teams, industry experts, advisors, legal, tax, finance, operations, and compliance.
- Oversee Investment Committee materials and junior team execution, providing direction and mentorship to ensure analysis is rigorous, conclusions are well-supported

Qualifications
- 6–10 years of relevant investment experience, including meaningful experience in growth equity, late-stage venture capital, technology-focused private equity
- technology-focused crossover investing, with significant exposure to technology sectors.
- Strong technology investing judgment, including the ability to assess market structure, competitive positioning, product differentiation, growth durability, unit economics, valuation, and exit paths.
- Demonstrated ability to form independent investment views, synthesize complex information, and communicate clear, well-supported recommendations to senior decision-makers.
- Commercial curiosity and pattern recognition across innovation-driven sectors, with the ability to identify attractive companies, themes, and market opportunities.
- Maturity, presence, and sound judgment to work directly with senior investors, management teams, advisors, Investment Committee members, and cross-functional stakeholders across the Firm.

- Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $2250,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
- However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages
