As a Data Management Strategy & Governance Senior Advisor , you will play a key role in advancing enterprise data governance capabilities that improve data quality, transparency, and trust across the organization.
This position offers the opportunity to partner with business leaders, data stewards, engineers, and product teams to drive data governance adoption, strengthen metadata management practices, and enable data-driven decision making at scale.
Responsibilities Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to enhance data governance capabilities and deliver solutions that improve trust and confidence in enterprise data. Drive the adoption of data governance platforms, standards, and best practices across the organization.
Collaborate with business and technical partners to define data governance requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Work with data stewards and data owners to establish metadata, data quality, lineage, and cataloging processes that improve data accessibility and reliability.
Facilitate onboarding, training, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions that increase data literacy and governance maturity. Lead functional workshops and governance discussions, documenting decisions, risks, issues, and action plans.
Partner with engineering teams to connect, profile, and govern data assets across diverse technology platforms. Analyze data assets and governance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic data initiatives. Influence cross-functional teams to adopt governance frameworks, controls, and metadata strategies that support business objectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating new governance capabilities, technologies, and processes. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, metadata management, or a related field.
Experience working with technical and business metadata, data quality frameworks, and governance practices. Knowledge of structured and semi-structured data environments. Experience partnering with business and technical teams to translate governance requirements into actionable solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills. Experience working with data governance concepts including: Data Catalog Data Quality Data Profiling Data Lineage Data Modeling Metadata Management Working knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing data across multiple data sources.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and governance initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence and/or Collibra Data Quality solutions. Experience connecting and governing data across cloud and enterprise platforms, including AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Teradata, Azure, DB2, and SQL Server.
Knowledge of healthcare data, data governance regulations, or data management controls. Experience developing dashboards and reporting using Tableau or other BI tools. Knowledge of firewall concepts and data security practices. Experience delivering training, workshops, or data literacy programs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 115,200 - 192,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
