Position Summary We’re seeking a portfolio-minded, analytically strong, and execution-oriented Manager to join the Portfolio Intelligence & Performance team within Business Operations.
This role will lead deep-dive analytics across priority growth levers, translate findings into a cohesive value story, and support leadership decision-making across growth portfolio oversight and value realization. The role will also help advance the Portfolio Intelligence Storyboard as a centralized decision-support capability for executive reporting and portfolio management.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, structured problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, and product ownership mentality. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating portfolio progress, investment, and value realization into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership.
Key Responsibilities Conduct deep-dive analysis on script and margin growth-driving programs to identify value drivers, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities. Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and use exploratory analysis to surface actionable insights that inform growth and strategic decisions.
Apply AI-enabled and advanced analytics tools to improve analytical efficiency, consistency, and insight generation. Partner across Business Operations and cross-functional teams to build, enhance, and scale the Portfolio Intelligence Storyboard, including KPI definitions and reporting standards that enable consistent, trusted executive reporting.
Manage the analytics team budget and track portfolio analytics investments against plan , connecting resource allocation to business value, risks, and leadership decisions. Required Qualifications 5 + years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, strategy analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous business questions and translate quantitative insights into decision-support materials.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, or another programming language, with experience working with large relational datasets in platforms such as Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Google Cloud, or similar environments. Strong foundation in statistics, quantitative methods, experimentation, causal measurement, and performance evaluation to assess business impact and value realization.
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into concise narratives, executive materials, and actionable recommendations. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with business and analytics partners to align on priorities, clarify requirements, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate in evolving problem spaces, proactively explore unknowns, and convert loosely defined business needs into structured analytical plans and actionable recommendations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), along with an understanding of how backend data structures and pipelines support executive-facing dashboards.
Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and deliver high-quality outputs with attention to detail and timeliness. Experience supporting portfolio performance management, capital planning, ROI assessment, or value measurement frameworks is strongly preferred.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative , analytical, business, or related field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a comparable discipline . Master’s degree , MBA, or advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred.
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $66,330.00 - $145,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
