About the Role Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners /Physician Assistants) are a growing and critical segment of healthcare providers (HCPs) delivering patient care.
The National APP Engagement Specialist, Gastroenterology/IBD is responsible for proactively & compliantly engaging with HCPs at a national level to identify marketplace needs, provide disease state and product education, and to support HCPs in appropriate utilization of JJIM access and fulfilment resources.
The APP Engagement Specialist will compliantly collaborate with other field team members in delivering all role responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Deliver clinical and disease‑state education using company‑approved materials, tailored to APP learning needs.
Provide on‑label product education and resources (safe use, patient identification, access/navigation) within approved parameters. Lead national APP education delivery through virtual and in‑person engagements in priority markets/accounts , including coverage for identified whitespace and vacancy needs, ensuring compliant continuity of education and partnership when local resources are constrained.
Educate and champion JJIM Access and Fulfillment resources to help remove barriers to therapy and optimize the patient experience within approved policies. Lead supergroup/society educational engagements and partnerships (programs, panels, forums), coordinating with field partners to align objectives, logistics, and compliant follow‑up.
Capture and synthesize APP voice‑of‑customer and clinical practice insights to inform materials, education priorities, and execution planning. Support the national APP engagement strategy and operating approach by helping define priority markets/coverage needs and supergroup/society education opportunities; contribute to annual/quarterly plans and enable consistent, compliant execution with stakeholders.
Track and report engagement activity and outcomes to evaluate impact and identify optimization opportunities. Influence without authority across field and matrix partners to coordinate execution, share learning, and drive adoption of APP best practices.
Meet all field standards and compliance requirements, including timely CRM documentation, expense reporting, and required training/certifications
Qualifications
- REQUIRED Advanced degree as either Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) 3+ years as a NP or PA actively engaged in Gastroenterology/Irritable Bowel Disease patient care Track record of building productive, collaborative relationships with individuals of varied educational background and performing different roles within an ecosystem Self-starter with proven ability to set, pursue
- achieve goals/results Superior communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent follow through Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including some weekend conferences. (This role is field-based with expectation to complete in-person engagements).
- PREFERRED NP or PA experience working in both institutional/academic setting and community office Strong knowledge as it relates to payer approval process
- solid business acumen Ability to translate customer feedback into potential solutions Strong organizational, problem solving and project management skills.
