How you will create an impact AIG is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager, Corporate Accounts to contribute to their industry leading Professional and Cyber Liability team.

In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing an existing renewal book as well as soliciting new business opportunities. This role includes constant interaction with top nationwide retail brokers and insureds as AIG’s client base for this role spans an array of SME clientele to traditional middle market companies as well as major local regional players who elicit tailored and unique solutions.

Through this role, underwriters gain access to a highly evolving and dynamic atmosphere that involves exposure to major influencers in the insurance, technology, and legal fields. Based in Atlanta, this role will report to the Head of Corporate Accounts for the portfolio.

You will support the development and execution of the strategies for the Corporate Accounts Professional Liability/Cyber portfolio and will be responsible for strategic oversight of business placed in the Region. The Southeast Region focuses Atlanta, but spans geographically from the Carolinas, down to Florida and includes Alabama and Mississippi.

This position has direct accountability for the business results of their region with respect to growth, profitability and, penetration of the regional portfolio. The role is also responsible for driving improved broker relationships and results from a strategic perspective while also working to implement consistent underwriting procedures throughout the region.

What you will need to succeed Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability. Commercial in approach; goal-oriented but flexible enough to value different methods of achievement. Strong influencing and communications skills; able to work across multiple areas both internally and externally.

Demonstrable experience formulating initiatives that support broader organizational aims. Experienced in building relationships externally and internally and managing key stakeholder relationships at executive and board level and with clients.

Highly developed leadership skills that inspire teams to work to their full potential. Ability to challenge effectively both people and portfolio strategies with the ability to effect change where appropriate. External thought leadership. Provide leadership and consistency around data quality and timeliness.

Instill the need for direct reports to focus on and provide ‘ease of use’ to our Distribution Partners. Technical Skills and Experience: 10+ years of Financial Lines Underwriting, Agency or Brokerage experience, with a focus on Cyber, Tech E&O, Media and Miscellaneous Professional Liability.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Advanced knowledge of the Financial Lines business (D&O, EPL, PTL, Fidelity) including product features, forms, regulatory environment, and risks. Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.

Superb verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions. Experience managing or leading a team and/or a P&L.

Collegial and collaborative in approach and style. Ability to adapt quickly in an evolving market. Enjoys a challenge with a “can-do” attitude. Available to travel when required. Excellent people management and leadership skills. Compensation for this position includes base salary and eligibility for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
