The MIG Gun Division (Bernard / Tregaskiss) of ITW Welding is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team at Tregaskiss as an Associate Product Manager based onsite at our Windsor, Ontario facility. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of industry-leading robotic welding and automation solutions used by manufacturers around the world.
Working closely with Segment Management, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams, you will support the development, positioning, and growth of our product portfolio while helping deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving customer and market needs.
As an Associate Product Manager, you will play an active role in product lifecycle management, market research, competitive analysis, new product introductions, and customer-focused initiatives that drive business growth. How you will make an impact Product Management Support Initiate and manage product updates, new product introductions, discontinuation, and pricing changes. Assist in defining product specifications and application requirements with engineering teams to support the development of robotic welding and automation solutions.
Support the development and documentation of product launches, training materials, specification sheets, operator manuals, and learning management system (LMS) content. Develop an understanding of the end-user’s business and their unmet needs.
Evaluate and report on product performance – sales volume, margins, and market share. Function as a liaison with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and appropriate division personnel to communicate, train and deliver product solutions that maintain market leadership.
Represent brand category with internal team, channel partners and users through product knowledge, product support, training, tradeshows, and customer visits. Support trade shows, distributor open houses/training, and other industry events.
Support the collection and synthesis of customer insights (VOC) and competitive intelligence through customer interviews, market research, and channel feedback. Knowledge of welding and automation products, including robotic welding systems, torches, consumables, peripherals, and their technical and commercial applications. Adaptability - Must be able to adjust to a changing work environment, competing demands and deadlines, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events with tact and poise.
Presentation Skills - Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate in front of groups with crisp and impactful messaging. Driven - Persistent, goal-oriented, and results-driven mindset Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience is required. 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (D365) software is a plus. Basic welding knowledge would be considered an asset. Must be available for up to 25% travel within the United States and Canada for customer visits, supplier meetings, and industry events.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach, grab, with hands and arms and regularly required to walk. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Combination of standard office and production environments. Occasional exposure to Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, welding arc, welding fume, machinery, and controlled chemicals.
Occasional exposure to noises in production environment from drills, pneumatic tools, forklifts, vacuum, vent, and other general production activities. Compensation Information: Salary Range : The Product Design Engineer compensation package offers a competitive annual salary with an estimated range of $68,000 CAN to $80,000 CAN dependent on the geographic location, the successful candidate’s qualifications, and prior experience.
