Job Title: Production Manager Salary: £41,500 - £50,000 depending on experience + shift allowance: 20% Mid, 27% Nights Contract : Full time & Permanent Hours : 37 – Rotating shift pattern – flexibility due to business needs The Opportunity As a Production Manager , you will lead a production line, Team Leaders and their teams to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, people development, and continuous improvement. The Caterpillar Building Construction Products' fabrication facility at Stockton uses the latest technology to laser cut, weld and machine all the major structures for use at the assembly plant at Leicester
What You Will Do
- As a Production Manager , your accountable for, but not limited to: Making safety your number one priority, ensuring all teams operate in line with safety standards and reporting and resolving hazards and near misses Managing daily production operations, ensuring workflow runs smoothly and targets for safety, quality
- productivity are achieved Leading and developing Team Leaders and production employees, including performance management, coaching
- training Creating and monitoring reports on performance, identifying issues
- implementing improvements Preparing and maintaining documentation relating to operating procedures, safety
- quality standards Promoting strong communication and collaboration across teams to support a culture of continuous improvement NB.

- Process Improvement: Identifies inefficiencies, analyse issues, and implement practical improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity, helping the operation remain efficient and competitive.
- What You May Have: Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment, confidently managing priorities, making decisions, and delivering results through others with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and practices, with the confidence to apply them, challenge unsafe behaviours, and ensure compliance across the team.
- Confident in using data, reports, or structured problem-solving methods to identify issues, make decisions, and implement effective, practical solutions.
