Payroll Specialist The Opportunity: Join Booz Allen as a U.S. Payroll Specialist and support accurate, timely payroll processing for a workforce of more than 30,000 employees. In this role, you’ll process payroll data, support specialized payroll activities, and help maintain the integrity of payroll operations across multiple systems and compliance requirements.
You’ll assist with file uploads, year-end processing, military pay differential processing, tax and wage adjustments, payroll audits, manual checks, and reconciliations. You’ll provide Tier 3 support to staff, helping resolve payroll questions and issues with professionalism, accuracy, and a customer-focused approach.
Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required
What You’ll Do
- Calculate and process high-volume payroll transactions with accuracy and timeliness for a large employee population.
- Upload payroll files and audit for accurate entries for Semi-Monthly and Bi-Weekly payrolls.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing activities.
- Process military pay differential.
- Support tax and wage adjustments in alignment with payroll requirements.
- Audit payroll data, records, and transactions to support accuracy and compliance.
- Provide Tier 3 payroll support to staff by answering payroll questions, troubleshooting discrepancies, and coordinating with partners across HR, Finance, and Delivery Hub.
- Support special payroll processing, including ensuring termination pay is issued in compliance with each work state's final‑wage requirements.

- You Have: Experience with calculating and processing large-volume payroll Experience with using Microsoft Excel to support payroll calculations, auditing, reconciliations

- experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
- The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD).
- The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
