- We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the Alexa Sales & Marketing Finance team within Amazon Devices & Services. This role will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Echo Devices Sales and Marketing organization, owning financial planning, forecasting
- business insights that drive investment decisions across product launches, promotional events (e.g., Prime Day, Holiday)
- go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders
- demonstrates a bias for action in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Key job responsibilities - Own the P&L for assigned Echo device programs, including revenue forecasting, cost modeling (BOM, promotional spend)
- variance analysis across monthly and quarterly planning cycles (OP1/OP2, QBR, MBR). - Lead financial planning for sales events sizing deal economics, promotional spend
- delivering post-event performance readouts to leadership team - Build and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, MSRP changes, channel mix optimization - Deliver weekly and monthly business review inputs including highlights, lowlights
- forward-looking risk/opportunity callouts with quantified financial impact. - Drive cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives by identifying structural cost trends (BOM escalation, rate variance) and partnering cross-functionally on mitigation strategies. - Develop and automate reporting solutions that improve speed-to-insight for the broader finance and business team.
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience - 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics
- a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) - 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience - 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
