Senior Software Engineer, Wireless Radio / Firmware About The Role As a Senior Wireless Radio Software Engineer, you will lead development of radio firmware and driver components, driving Wi-Fi feature enablement and system-level performance across platforms.

In This Role, You Will Lead design and development of radio firmware and driver subsystems Drive implementation of complex 802.11 features and optimizations Debug and resolve challenging cross-layer issues (RF, firmware, driver, system) Work directly with chipset vendors to influence and resolve firmware behavior Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of wireless systems Mentor engineers and guide technical direction within your domain Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve team efficiency and workflows You Might Thrive In This Role If You Have 7+ years of experience in wireless or embedded software Strong expertise in C/C++ and low-level systems programming Deep understanding of 802.11 protocols, features, and system behavior Experience with radio firmware, drivers, or data path development Strong debugging skills across firmware and system layers Experience collaborating with chipset vendors Ability to lead subsystem design and execution Nice to Have Experience with upstream driver development Strong understanding of performance optimization and RF behavior Experience in large-scale wireless systems #wirelesshiring Why Cisco?
