Job Title: Platform Specialist Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: The CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are driving an exciting technological transformation of customer IT services by leading the design, development, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge solutions.
This includes continuous service improvement through the modernization of IT system infrastructure. CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Platform Specialist to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Our Platform Specialist will serve as a key member of our global, 24/7 operations team. This role focuses on the core infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications, spanning physical, virtual, and cloud-based Windows Server and Linux environments.
The successful candidate will ensure the availability, reliability, and security of these server infrastructures while driving automation and supporting continuous compliance. The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) contract
Responsibilities
- Deploy, operate, and maintain physical, virtual, and cloud-based Windows Server or Linux operating system configurations that host business systems and customer applications.
- Monitor and manage physical hardware, virtual infrastructure
- cloud deployment server variants., Automate builds, rebuilds
- zero-day configurations to ensure optimal deployability, rapid recovery
- high availability Support Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and ongoing Authorities to Operate (ATOs) for acquired or inherited environments.
- Provide information and coordinate actions on approved Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Provide continuous support (incident analysis, break/fix, hands-on touch labor) for all infrastructure and devices.
- Coordinate with Engineering for advanced troubleshooting and collaborate with Operations teams to ensure maximum availability for remote administration Work independently or in teams to perform scheduled and ad hoc maintenance.
- Execute continuous patch management for workstations and servers across all networks and security domains Use Lab facilities to develop test scripts, conduct Beta/Acceptance testing
- manage the transfer of engineered solutions through Blue/Green fielding before full deployment.
- Analyze system performance, capacity, and service-level metrics to optimize infrastructure utilization and preemptively address potential incidents Work with technical writers to develop SOPs and documentation.
- Aid in the creation of required reporting and data tracking in strict accordance with contract deliverables Participate in Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and innovation activities, researching new technologies and articulating benefits to stakeholders Qualifications
Required
- Must hold a current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+) One of the following: Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCSA)
- Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1.
- An AA and 10+ years of experience, BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, MS/MA and 6+ years of experience
- PhD and 4+ years of experience Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience integrating, operating
- maintaining IT hardware and software solutions Desired: Degree in Science, Technology
