We Deliver – Together. The Opportunity: The Supply Officer (ERP Purchasing, Codification Support) reports directly to the Supply Manager and is responsible for the day to day purchasing, codification and cataloguing on behalf of the area . The Supply Officer forms part of the Supply Team and supports the area by identifying and investigating opportunities to reduce through life support costs.
They should also identify risks and issues associated with ILS and supportability aspects of purchasing, this includes sparing analysis. This is a permanent full-time opportunity and based in Sydney . The successful candidate must hold a Baseline security clearance or higher
Responsibilities
- Oversee procurement and sparing activities to ensure alignment with lifecycle and support targets.
- Monitor procurement for engineering changes, identifying and escalating risks or issues as required.
- Manage inventory logistics, stock holdings, and supply-demand coordination to maintain operational readiness.
- Address material shortages by sourcing alternatives and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
- Maintain accurate master data, including ERP updates, stock codes, supplier details, and cataloguing/codification activities.
- Support lifecycle cost analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute ILS expertise to improve long-term supportability.
- Manage obsolescence, risk, configuration data, and disposal processes while ensuring compliance with systems .
- As the ideal candidate you will bring: Relevant qualifications or experience, such as a Certificate IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent practical expertise.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or logistics engineering within Defence or a related technical industry.
- Strong knowledge of Defence logistics management systems, including ERP platforms.
- Understanding of Defence procurement processes, with exposure to SCPM and AMPs considered advantageous.
- Eligibility for ITAR clearance, with desirable experience supporting marine, mechanical, or electrical systems on RAN platforms.
- All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
