Become a part of our caring community As a Senior Software Engineer on the Enrollment CRM Integration (ECI) team at Humana Military, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining secure and scalable applications that support our billing and enrollment operations.
You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality solutions that ensure seamless integration with internal systems and third-party platforms, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions supporting billing, enrollment, and CRM integration processes. Work on secure payment applications and PCI-compliant solutions, ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance.
Participate in system integration efforts with internal platforms and third-party tools to streamline enrollment and billing workflows. Contribute to the analysis and documentation of complex business requirements and transform them into scalable technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code; participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for software development and documentation. Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and on-call support for applications related to enrollment and billing.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to web, backend, and secure payment development. Ensure all work aligns with Humana Military’s technology and compliance standards. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications U.S.
Citizenship (required by Department of War contract) Ability to obtain interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS/eQIP) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of professional software development experience, or 5+ years of professional development experience in lieu of degree Proficiency with Microsoft development platforms, including C#, SQL, ASP.NET (MVC/WebAPI), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Visual Studio, IIS, and related development tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working with PCI-compliant applications or secure payment processing systems Professional experience with billing and/or enrollment systems, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment Experience with responsive front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation) Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., VueJS, Angular, React) Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), container technologies, and microservices architecture Exposure to classic ASP.NET, WCF services, and CRM or payment system integrations Understanding of Defense Enrollment and Eligibility Reporting Systems (DEERS) is a plus Additional information To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership. Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Work at Home Requirements
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $106,900 - $147,000 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
