Position Summary Enterprise Strategy is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategy, connecting each business unit to those priorities, exploring white space opportunities for growth, and enabling informed decision-making across the organization.

As a Lead Director on the Enterprise Strategy team, you will play a key role in advancing an internal consulting capability designed to improve responsiveness to business needs, strengthen institutional knowledge, and reduce reliance on external partners.
In addition, you will lead the end-to-end execution of high-priority, high-visibility strategic initiatives across the Enterprise, business units, and shared services. Your work will directly inform leadership decision-making, including the evaluation of trade-offs that impact business performance, growth, cost savings, strategic direction, and operational effectiveness.
You will operate within a nimble team dedicated to top priority strategic initiatives with executive leadership visibility. You will partner closely with business stakeholders across our core businesses and key Enterprise functions. This role requires comfort in working with ambiguity, as our team strives to create simplicity within complex, cross-functional strategic challenges.

Primary Areas of Focus & Summary Responsibilities Internal Consulting Capability Development Drive the growth, execution, and continuous improvement of an internal consulting function within Enterprise Strategy Oversee the development and optimization of project intake, prioritization, and performance tracking processes Build institutional knowledge, reusable tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability Oversee tracking and reporting of portfolio performance, including impact, utilization, and value delivered Strategy Execution & Project Delivery Lead execution of high-priority strategic projects from problem definition through implementation across enterprise, business unit, and functional stakeholders Structure ambiguous business problems and drive execution across defined workstreams Facilitate evaluation of strategic trade-offs, risks, and opportunities to inform rapid, data-driven decision-making Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and successful delivery of outcomes Required Qualifications 10 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, corporate finance or related analytical/business roles Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience with quantitative analysis and data-driven insights Ability to lead the strategy development and execution planning of transformative projects from end to end, with both internal and external entities Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex topics clearly and concisely Executive presence: demonstrated ability to actively listen, empathize, and communicate effectively Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment Comfort in ambiguity; demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems and concepts Comfort working in a matrixed environment and in managing competing priorities; demonstrated ability to juggle concurrent projects and prioritize effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare or similarly complex, highly regulated industries Education BA / BS required MBA preferred Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 - $231,540.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
